Marie Åkerlund, born in 1966, is a professional artist from Sweden with juried exhibitions in Europe and the USA, represented in the private collection of the European Art Museums in Denmark and official member of the French Mondial Art Academi, she is also a glass designer at Reijmyre Glassworks in Sweden.

Thanks to her creative and engaging way of expressing herself on the international market, she has won several international art awards. In addition, in 2015 she received the cultural scholarship in Finspång Sweden, with the following motivation: "For portraits and inspiration on an artistic journey. With artworks that pass on aesthetic values in Finspång and the rest of the world."
